Coastal and Ocean Resources Working Group
for the Climate Action Team

Purpose

Coastal and Ocean Resources Working Group (CO-CAT)'s task is to ensure the state's ability to adapt to climate change impacts on ocean and coastal resources while supporting implementation of global warming emission reduction programs.

Potential climate change impacts include changes in temperatures and precipitation, invasive plant and animal species, and increasing risk of wildfire.

Activities

Establish State Policy to Avoid Future Hazards and Protect Critical Habitat

Complete a Statewide Vulnerability Assessment Every Five Years

Support Essential Data Collection and Information Sharing
