State Operations and Climate Change

The State of California is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its government operations by increasing the energy efficiency of buildings and facilities, improving the efficiency of the state's motor vehicle fleet, and reducing the carbon intensity of other activities. Other activities include Department of Transportation's energy and alternative power projects and the California Water Project.

The State can also reduce its GHG emissions through prudent use of employee travel and efficient use of other of state resources.
